This is a real hands-on workshop! Participants will be engaged in this developmentally appropriate approach incorporating a variety of learning styles that strengthen memory and retention of educational concepts –ABCs, language, phonics, numbers, colors, rhymes and more. No singing skill is needed – just a lot of enthusiasm and the desire to have fun. Throughout the workshop, attendees will sing song after song for different ages and abilities to practice adapting to their own needs within their classrooms. The learning styles being used, along with how to expand and create using the ideas from their own experience and the needs of their children, will be explained and suggestions will be made for adaptations. Many teachers can’t justify incorporating music into their curriculum since they have to spend so much time on core concepts. But by including music into their program to teach these concepts it is a win-win situation. Children are expected to learn more and know more at much younger ages. To keep the curriculum age and developmentally appropriate, teachers need creative and fun ways to not only encourage children to learn, but to want to learn. By incorporating these fun play-along songs with multiple learning styles into the lessons, children will be actively involved and actively learning. The participants will now have an explanation to justify why their children are having so much fun.
